Some of my hand drafting work from my Freshmen year.
Sample of the calculator I made for my Structures class, the green cells are the ones you fill in and the blue ones all fill in automatically. The yellow cell tells you what value you need to base your material selection off of from the textbook. The red and green cells at the bottom of the sections check to see if you inputted all the information correctly, then it tells you if you did or didn't. Cells also contain notes on the excel sheet explaining what each value means or what formula is being used for the adjacent cell. Other cells are drop down lists for selecting material types to either auto-populate other cells or act as a reference for the problem you're working on.
I've taken classes on the side for fine carpentry and have slowly developed an interest in carrying it on as a hobby once I have the opportunity.
